In 2008, there was a vision to create a high-end hair salon with an upbeat atmosphere and city feel, to provide the best in hair styling to those who crave an upscale experience by professional artists.
The decor and product lines offered are particularly chosen to set the salon apart in the local beauty industry of Wilmington, North Carolina. Our stylist team is a blend of high talent stemming from cities across the country, each bringing their own skillset and unique stylistic touch to the consistently beautiful hair that walks out of the door of Beauty Bar Boutique. Our staff is dedicated to delivering top customer service that is friendly, personable, and accommodating to each and every customer.
We welcome you into our salon inspired by The One Hotel in South Beach, Miami. Refresh yourself with an espresso, sparkling water, or a glass of vino. Awaken your senses with ORIBE’s signature scent of edelweiss flower, watermelon & lychee extracts as your hair is nourished, enlightened, and transformed. HAIR STYLISTS
ramsey
After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at UNCW, and a short-lived career as a chemist, Ramsey decided to pursue a long-lived dream to become a hairdresser. After completing her apprenticeship, she became a stylist at Beauty Bar in 2013. She has received additional education in Atlanta, Miami, and New York City from R+Co, Wella, Goldwell, and Oribe. She has worked backstage at New York Fashion Week for several seasons alongside top industry artists.
Although Ramsey works as a colorist as well, her specialty is razor cutting and editorial and event styling (look for her work in WILMA Magazine interior and on the cover pages!). She’s the mom of three wonderful girls. She loves anything that has to do with travel, history, old cars, 90s rock, and food.
Fun Fact: She loves Jeopardy and hates Wheel of Fortune.

natalie
While Natalie may live on the east coast, she is still a California girl at heart, but loves calling Wilmington home! With a bachelor's degree in Interior Design under her belt, she first followed her artistic drive to a career in Las Vegas, which led to her discovery of another aspect of art in the form of hairstyling. She now applies the same design fundamentals to her work in the salon excelling in hair styling artistry. She loves a good makeover and feels rewarded when her clients leave feeling great about their new look. She draws inspiration from film and foreign cultures, and especially enjoys event styling. And to back up all of her talents on paper, she has certifications and advanced training in brands such as Oribe, R+Co, V76, Wella, Goldwell, and Keratin Complex!
Fun fact: She is slightly obsessed with all things Harry Potter and NSYNC!

ali
Ali is a COLOR specialist — meaning she loves to create rich brunettes, redheads of all tones, and/or vivids to pop! Whether you are that naturally and want dimension, or are going for a complete change, she will impress any client with her ability to give each guest custom looks leaving them feeling incredible!
Ali is equally passionate about both cutting and color but doesn't rely solely on her natural talents. She is constantly pursuing education by taking advanced-level training through Oribe, R+Co, and Wella national education. She is currently pursuing Goldwell Master Color certification!
Fun fact: Ali is a Kilwin's salted caramel apple addict!

lauren
Lauren began her career early on, and was initially inspired to pursue her career in hair when she was modeling for local editorials and fashion shows!
Lauren has thrown herself into finessing the details and growing in all aspects of the artistry of hair design. Her passion is for people, and every guest will feel valued and cared for in her chair. Though she is a very talented, well-rounded stylist, her main passion is haircutting and styling, especially with razoring techniques! She loves naturally textured hair and shows clients how to LOVE their hair. She has received training in Miami, Atlanta, and many other cities on razor cutting and editorial styling.
Fun Fact: She is obsessed with the 1970s!

tyler
Tyler grew up in the hair industry and found a true calling in it and has been what the industry calls, “behind the chair” since 2016. He loves education and furthering of skillsets and has additional education in Florida, NY, and Philadelphia - including certifications by Redken Color, Wahl fading, and Amika.
Tyler enjoys all precision haircutting (hello exquisite fades) and pairing custom coloring and hair lightening techniques on those shapes. He takes clients for 3 weeks out of the month at Beauty Bar, and the other week you can find him in Durham NC at Posh Salon!
Fun fact: “If I’m not working you can find me and my brother fishing, probably not catching anything.”

jamie
Driven and dedicated, Jamie came to b3 as an apprentice in 2021 — after earning her Cosmetology license she showcased her high talent in our in-house “grad school” building a clientele along the way!!
Jamie has taken advanced education in Oribe, Goldwell, and Bellami Extensions. Her passion IS WEDDINGS and all formal hairstyling! She has been a part of b3’s wedding team since joining the salon, and is now booking brides into 2023! She is a well-rounded talent delivering all hair services from lived-in dimensional color to razor cutting and men’s grooming.

liz
Liz began her career in 2016 — Inspired to be a hairstylist at a young age, she pursued the industry right after graduating high school. After a few years into her career, Liz moved to Southern California to further her education in hair while also working for her dream nonprofit. She is a blonding specialist drawing inspiration from west coast trends! Liz is passionate about people feeling seen and known while in her chair and wants them to feel beautiful from the inside out when they leave!
You can find her at the beach, going for a walk, or in a coffee shop with a good book when she isn't behind the chair!

stephanie
Stephanie first started with b3 as a Studio Coordinator at our Lash+Brow Studio. She and her husband decided to move home to the midwest where she then pursued beauty school. They knew the sea was calling, and moved back to Wilmington at the start of 2023, and we were SO EXCITED to have her integrity, sweetness, and talent on the hairside!!
Stephanie has been gracefully sailing through our "master's program" after being fully licensed, showing off her blonding skills to all of our b3 team and clients. On top of an excellent private cosmetology school education, she has trained directly under Ali and Natalie, and is now a full-time b3 stylist!

nijah
Nijah apprenticed with b3 a few years ago, then she and her husband moved to Kansas for his job where she built a dedicated clientele creating exquisite custom hair at Platinum & Company. As with Stephanie above, our team were all smiles and tears when Nijah called to say she, hubby and her baby girl - Halo - are moving home to Wilmington Dec 2023!
Nijah focuses on lived-in color/multi-dimensional blonding, extensions, and our natural curl girls!

sarah
Originally from upstate NY, Sarah has been behind the chair servicing clients between Florida and North Carolina over the last decade! She and her daughter have been living in Wilmington since 2021.
Sarah has extensive education in color brands: Goldwell, Redken, Aveda, and Kevin Murphy. She has been trained in DevaCurl cutting & styling techniques and has worked as a "curly hair specialist". Other advanced certifications include Sunlights Balayage, Keratin Complex, and brand-wide extension hand-tied, fusion, and tape-in methods.
Her focus at Beauty Bar will be to use her 10 years of industry experience and deep care for each guest's custom consultation to deliver beautiful results in haircutting, color, and custom treatments!

taylor
A Wilmington native, Taylor began her career in 2016, and knew early on she’d found her true calling. Taylor is dedicated to providing consistent, high quality results to her clients, with no detail unnoticed. She is certified in Goldwell and Redken color, and is passionate when it comes to exploring the latest techniques in cutting. Whether you’re looking to sport a voluminous shag, a stunning lived in vivid, or a dimensional transformation, Taylor makes it her mission to make it look magnificent!
When she isn’t behind the chair, you can find Taylor on a hike with her dogs, or at the roller rink skating!
