In 2008, there was a vision to create a high-end hair salon with an upbeat atmosphere and city feel, to provide the best in hair styling to those who crave an upscale experience by professional artists.
The environment is carefully curated to set the salon apart in the local beauty industry of Wilmington, North Carolina. Our stylist team is a blend of high talent from cities across the country, each bringing their own skillset and unique artistic touch to the consistently beautiful hair that walks out of the door of Beauty Bar Boutique. Our staff is dedicated to delivering top customer service that is warm, welcoming, and accommodating to each and every customer.
We welcome you into our salon inspired by The One Hotel in South Beach, Miami. Refresh yourself with an espresso, sparkling water, or a glass of wine. ramsey
After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at UNCW, and a short-lived career as a chemist, Ramsey decided to pursue a long-lived dream to become a hairdresser and was the first apprentice to complete our apprentice program, developed in 2012. She has received additional education in Atlanta, Miami, Chicago, Austin and New York City from R+Co, Wella, PONY, Goldwell, and Oribe. She has worked backstage at New York Fashion Week for over a decade alongside top industry artists. 2024, she became an US Local Artist for Oribe, sharing her passion for education in salons across the country.
Ramsey’s specialty is razor cutting, pixies and bixies, shags, and editorial and event styling. She’s the mom of three wonderful girls. She loves anything that has to do with travel, trivia, old cars, and 90s rock.
Fun Fact: Ramsey is also part of the Port City Rollerz, a roller skating club in Wilmington.

natalie
While Natalie may live on the east coast, she is still a California girl at heart, but loves calling Wilmington home! With a bachelor's degree in Interior Design under her belt, she first followed her artistic drive to a career in Las Vegas, which led to her discovery of another aspect of art in the form of hairstyling. She now applies the same design fundamentals to her work in the salon excelling in hair styling artistry. She draws inspiration from film and foreign cultures, and costume design. She has advanced training in brands such as Oribe, R+Co, V76, Wella, Goldwell, and Keratin Complex!
Natalie loves grey blending, dimensional color, and layered haircuts (short and long) with lots of movement and texture. She cares deeply about helping you meet your individual hair goal by enhancing what’s already there!
Fun fact: She is slightly obsessed with all things Harry Potter, K-Pop, and NSYNC!

ali
Ali is a COLOR specialist — meaning she loves to create rich brunettes, redheads of all tones, and/or vivids to pop! Whether you are wanting to add dimension, or are going for a complete change, she will impress any client with her ability to give each guest custom looks leaving them feeling incredible! She loves a no-bleach brunette, bold and vibrant coppers, and deep maroons. She also enjoys corrective color and loves cutting long hair!
Ali is equally passionate about both cutting and color but doesn't rely solely on her natural talents. She is constantly pursuing education by taking advanced-level training through Oribe, R+Co, Davines, and Wella national education. She is currently pursuing Goldwell Master Color certification!
Fun Fact: Ali has a passion for tattooing having many herself and has applied her artistic skills to other’s skin as well!

lauren
Lauren began her career early on, and was initially inspired to pursue her career in hair when she was modeling for local editorials and fashion shows!
Lauren has thrown herself into finessing the details and growing in all aspects of the artistry of hair design. Her passion is for people, and every guest will feel valued and cared for in her chair. Though she is a very talented, well-rounded stylist, her main passion is haircutting and styling, especially with razoring techniques! She has received training in Miami, Atlanta, Austin, and New York in razor cutting and editorial styling.
Lauren is especially inspired by shags, wolf cuts, bixies and French bobs. She cuts the best fringe in Wilmington and delights in natural textures.
She is obsessed with the 1970s, and has the most eclectic taste in music.

jamie
Driven and dedicated, Jamie came to b3 as an apprentice in 2021 and quickly graduated through our in-house program.
Jamie has taken advanced education in Oribe, Goldwell, and Bellami Extensions. Her passion IS WEDDINGS and all formal hairstyling! She is our Weddings Coordinator and is passionate about building our team of wedding stylists and assistants. She has mentored several of our newer stylist.
She is a well-rounded talent delivering all hair services from lived-in dimensional color to razor cutting and men’s grooming. She specialized in lived-in, low maintenance color, dimensional blondes, and color corrections.

liz
Liz began her career in 2016 — Inspired to be a hairstylist at a young age, she pursued the industry right after graduating high school. After a few years into her career, Liz moved to Southern California to further her education in hair while also working for her dream nonprofit. Liz is passionate about people feeling seen and known while in her chair and wants them to feel beautiful from the inside out when they leave! She is a blonding specialist drawing inspiration from west coast trends, and is especially fond of lived-in color, dimensional blonds, color correction, and keratin treatments.
You can find her at the beach, going for a walk, or in a coffee shop with a good book when she isn't behind the chair!
Liz currently serves as our Apprentice Director.

stephanie
Stephanie first started with b3 as a Studio Coordinator at our Lash+Brow Studio. She and her husband decided to move home to the midwest where she then pursued beauty school. They knew the sea was calling, and moved back to Wilmington at the start of 2023 where she came back to her Beauty Bar roots!
After gracefully sailing through our in-house apprentice program, Stephanie has been behind the chair as a full time stylist since Nov. of 2023. She specializes in Lived-In and Multi-Dimensional Color, and Correctional Color. She is especially proficient in blonding and color formulation for grey coverage. She is inspired by long layers, movement, and keeping your hair healthy and long while coloring it.
Stephanie also has a knack for thrifting and we are always excited to see what treasures she finds!

nijah
Nijah apprenticed with b3 a few years ago, then she and her husband moved to Kansas for his job where she built a dedicated clientele creating exquisite custom hair at Platinum & Company. As with Stephanie above, our team were all smiles and tears when Nijah called to say she was moving back and picked Beauty Bar as her first choice for a salon home. We are so lucky!
Nijah focuses on lived-in color, multi-dimensional blonding, custom color, and natural curls, especially type 3 and 4 curls! She currently has clients all over the country who specifically travel to Wilmington for her expertise. She is our extension specialist, certified by Belami in hand tied, volume wefts, tape ins, and k-tip extensions. You can book an extension consult with Nijah to start your extension journey!
Nijah currently serves as our Oribe Signature Stylist.

sarah
Originally from upstate NY, Sarah has been behind the chair servicing clients between Florida and North Carolina over the last decade! She and her family have been living in Wilmington since 2021.
Sarah has extensive education in color brands: Goldwell, Redken, Aveda, Kevin Murphy, and Oribe. She has been trained in DevaCurl cutting & styling techniques and has worked as a "curly hair specialist". Other advanced certifications include Sunlights Balayage, Keratin Complex, and brand-wide extension hand-tied, fusion, and tape-in methods.
She uses her 10+ years of industry experience to guide each client to their hair goals and deeply cares for each guest's consultation to deliver beautiful results in haircutting, color, and custom treatments!

taylor
A Wilmington native, Taylor began her career in 2016, and knew early on she’d found her true calling. Taylor is dedicated to providing consistent, high quality results to her clients, with no detail unnoticed. She is certified in Goldwell and Redken color, and is passionate when it comes to exploring the latest techniques in cutting. A master at color formulation, Taylor can handle even the most difficult color correction, however her true passion is with dimensional vivids and rich contrasting, reflective blondes.
Whether you’re looking to sport a voluminous shag, a stunning lived in vivid, or a dimensional transformation, Taylor makes it her mission to make it look magnificent!
When she isn’t behind the chair, you can find Taylor on a hike with her dogs, or at the roller rink skating!

melissa
Melissa joined our team in 2024 but she’s been a hair stylist in Wilmington for over 15 years. Her extensive bridal and editorial work has been featured in numerous publications. She specializes in custom color work, keratin treatments, and haircutting. When not working behind the chair, Melissa enjoys an active lifestyle, hanging with her friends, traveling, and being a mom to one awesome daughter. Her experience and positive attitude is truly a gift to her clients and our salon.
Fun Fact: Melissa coached several of our team members as the lead stylist for the very first Wilmington Fashion Weekend in 2014!

rosie
Rosie started her love of all things hair and makeup while growing up in theatre. While at college in Boston, Massachusetts she loved the ritual of getting ready, and was always the first to help her roommates with both hair and makeup. After the pandemic, she knew the direction she initially chose for herself would not allow her to be as creative as she wanted to be. So she made the choice to leave Boston and enroll in cosmetology school here in Wilmington.
Starting at b3 in late 2022 as an assistant, Rosie finished our in house apprentice program in the spring of 2025. Her passion for hair stems from the love of being able to help guests leave feeling and looking their best. She is excellent at consultations, taking the time to truly understand your hair goals and making them a reality!

mandy
GENERAL MANAGER
Mandy is an Illinois native that worked in the industry as a stylist after graduating from cosmetology school. She moved to NC in 2016 and began working at the Beauty Bar in 2017. In 2024, Mandy became our GM and is a foundational part of our salon. Mandy is usually the first face you see when you walk through our door.
When not at work, you can find her beachside with her family and friends.
